how do you modify the bounds of a zone that was drawn as a polygon? in 9 there were grips but in 10 i don't have any...
Grips??!! Sounds like someone is trying to get AutoCAD out of their system.

You should be able to edit it just like any other polygonal element, via the pet palette. Do you have Element Info tags turned on in your Work Environment? If so, what does it say when you hover over an edge of it? Maybe you're looking at a ghost view or something obscure like that?

Cheers,

happens to me also. especially if the zone doesn't have a contour line. if you move over the bound and click you risk clicking on the bounding wall or element and miss it.
i found an easy workaround: put a contour line to the zone, modify its geometry and then disable the contour line.

anyone knows a better way?

work in a 'model view combination' that shows either the zone background colour or fill . . . you can 'quickselect' it (magnetic arrow tool) whilst hovering anywhere over it . . .

the selection part is easy, the modifying is a bit harder.

it works if you set the zone to display the cover fill background, but you have to switch back to 'no background' if you want to mail someone a dwg with no white(printing black) hatches on it directly from the view map.

there you go then! your template should already have those views defined for output right?! just make sure your working views show the zone's cover fills . . .
