wall hatching/fill not displaying

i inherited an archicad drawing from someone else, which wasnt set up properly.

i think its been converted from dwg. its an archicad9 file.

the walls wont display any hatching fills, yet the same wall/composite types from one of my correctly setup drawings do work.

when i copy and paste them into this other drawing, no hatching displays.

any ideas?

model view options/ show construction fills

aha yes, the display options combinations was set to "site", so it wasnt displaying doors on plan either!
