Feedback - Community Platform View Counter

Nice to see that a view counter has been made visible for posts - it gives a sense of the activity in the community.

 

But why is it limited to hot topics and board views? Naturally it should be available alongside every thumb counter such as inside individual posts and in the search results. It is rather strange being able to do a search for posts, sort by number of views but not have any indication of the actual number of views.

 

And now that we can see the number of views for hot topics it would be good if we could filter them by time and thus get a sense of the current activity - just add a row with the control from likes leader board.

If additionally a unread indicator/filter was added to hot topics it would become a good place to keep track of activity.

And if Hot Topics is further improved it might even deserve the top spot or at least a separate URL for bookmarking? I honestly don't think that GS Insights is what drives traffic to the community....
