Hi,
I've noticed that a conversion of Roadmap from previous website to community is (almost) done? During testing it I've noticed that there is missing section of "Idea pool".
Also, many items from previous website are missing. Is this a work in progress state? Will the items be added?
Otherwise it is looking good 💪
The mentioned section from previous website:
Kind regards
Karel

Hi Karel,
The current version of the roadmap is the up-to-date version. Some items were removed by the Product Team, that's why they are missing. Also, based on feedback we removed the Idea pool status and technically "merged" with the Under research status, as these two were basically identical from customer point of view.
Kind regards,
Noémi

Just to clarify, what is actually in the coming soon list ? Is that up to date or is it still under construction ?

What is in 'Coming soon' is something planned to be released within this year (since most of them are BIMx or BIMcloud related items, the release cycles are different). The whole Product roadmap is up-to-date currently.

Thank you for the clarification with the time period relating to this year only. I was looking at the road map list on the other web page and noticed the differences. Otherwise looking forward to AC29, that list on the community website is not fully populated for items that maybe be included in the next version of Archicad. Have to keep an eye on what is in progress that may actually become coming soon in the future.

Can you please clarify me which other web page you're talking about? The link on graphisoft.com should link to the roadmap here, and I'm not aware of any other web page where we have roadmap information shared.

Yes I had it bookmarked in my browser. Please see this link below.

For architecture there were around 120 items combined in idea pool and under research - now there is 8 under research. That's quite some removal including items like: split-level, more reference levels, project phasing, layers as a palette, multi-window/multi-view, enhanced intersections, door/window tool, improved terrain modelling, skin-by-skin design, centralised template management, attribute level undo - just to name a few interesting and urgently needed.
I'm not arguing that the roadmap constituted any kind of commitment from GS to these items but it is really hard to have any confidence in a process where things like that just happen. The roadmap was introduced less than two years ago with these items either under "active research" or being "worth future consideration" and now they are just removed - to what status? (yeye - I know, internal database, backlog and all that...)
And I don't agree with 'idea pool' and 'under research' being identical from an external point of view. Actually, roadmap 'idea pool' corresponds to wishlist 'under consideration' and the items should have been transferred there rather than removed. It shows what development GS deem feasible and fitting for AC. It gives us a picture of what AC could and aim to be for us to compare with our needs when deciding on future investments. High voted items getting stuck here for long indicates misalignment between GS and user priorities. The status being currently empty basically tells us that GS doesn't have a grounded vision for the future of AC.

Dear Graphisoft, we really need these things above to be developed as a priority. Sure we can make wishes but that original roadmap was gold.

yes, The old roadmap have a lot of wished. multi monitor, Reinforcement Bar, Structural plan, and so on
