Is there a way to drag or import an existing GDL object (or a selected group of elements from an ArchiCAD window) for parametrization in Param-O?
Otherwise Param-O looks like a pretty excruciating way to assemble an object with complex geometry if it needs to be built from scratch using primitives in the Param-O editing environment, compared with what you can do so much faster in a standard ArchiCAD editing environment, before dragging and dropping or saving selected items as GDL?
Struggling to see the point, or how this makes things easier for noobs like me if this is the case?

I am not a PARAM-O expert, but I think it can. Just drag a GDL Object element and define it inside its dialog box.
Hope this helps.

I had a go at this, but with the Param-O dialog open, I was unable to switch focus to any other ArchiCAD window in order to select anything to drag
I also couldn't spot any obvious import function.
Very likely missing something - have only just started playing with it.

My bad... I meant drag 'n drop inside PARAM-O.
