Introduce a coordinated workflow in which MEP engineers define intelligent placeholder elements instead of creating direct openings. These Provision for Void (PfV) elements suggest the position, size, and orientation of penetrations and are delivered to architects or structural designers as actionable proposals. They can review, validate, accept, modify, or reject them, and convert approved PfVs into native opening elements. The workflow is fully supported through IFC-based data exchange to ensure seamless interdisciplinary coordination.
