200sheet Transmittal list rebuild

Is anyone else frustrated with the transmittal/publisher limitations?

(perhaps i am missing something, if so please enlighten me)

I only want to address one such limitation in this post.

The lack of functionality to 'copy' the layout list from a previous transmittal, and 'paste' the list into a new transmittal.

We primarily do large buildings (circa 150unit residential/hotels), and on every single project the fitout consent is split apart from the envelop consent - a council thing - and every single time, after we address the RFIs, we need to publish a final full pdf set. As you can see from the attached image below, this isnt a straight line. We have stage 2 and stage 3 RFI occurring overtop of each other, and in the end, we need to issue a full complete set of both.

Unless there's a streamlined system that i've missed, im looking to address a limitation and propose a solution, and submit a wish.. that will never receive 200 likes, leading me to question why i even spend the time doing this. Anyway, please carry on reading..

(we colloquially name 'fitout consent' as 'architectural consent')

-RFIs have been addressed

-now we need to publish complete a RevB PDF for each.. but we have to build a 200 sheet list and a 150 sheet list so that they are up-to-date with the latest revision clouds.. the same lists as before. It is not fun.

as you can see from the next snip, our consent packages are not trivial, circa 200 sheets

Now have a missed something with GS's web of incomplete systems that never truly work together in harmony, or is this a worthwhile add?

It's important to note that we use the Change Manager, Transmittal List and revision clouds to the best of their ability.

-having to change the revision of each sheet from '01' to 'A' is also a pain, please allow us to set this globally so we never have to think about it again - it is actually also very cumbersome to ensure each sheet follows the lettered convention.

-having to delete the blue auto inserted sheets is furiously frustrating. Please delete or give the option to disable.

We build the transmittal list to keep the drawing register up to date for the output PDF set.

Even if we are to build a 'dumb' list in the publisher set, we still then have to build the transmittal list for the register, which as i say, is 200 sheets long. It's very silly and cumbersome to have to build this again 4-6 times per project, when the list is just sitting there begging to be copied and pasted.

Note: i have experimented with saving off a solo copy, deleting the later RFI/consent set transmittals and publishing, but that process is fraught with issues and is unworkable, ie, you spot drafting errors, so you need to make the changes in both instances of the project to keep the live one up-to-date; you lose latest revision clouds and the revision register. Horrible solution, which this lack of functionality has pushed me to try.

Any and all comments welcome.
