This brings up another question, what is the advantage of being able to select something that is locked other than to view it's attributes or pick up the attributes for use on a new object?Maybe the question is - what's the disadvantage? I'm curious - I've never had a problem with this before.

This brings up another question, what is the advantage of being able to select something that is locked other than to view it's attributes or pick up the attributes for use on a new object? My memory may be wrong, but I believe selected and locked items can be copied to the clip-board. At times this has seemed like a good thing, but I could see where it might lead to problems.
