Layout masters not showing.

I've tried searching but had no joy.
I'm sure I have seen something about this before though.

I have a layout book (version 10) that does not show the master in the layouts.
I can open the master and the border, title blocks, etc., are all there.
But when I go back to the layout nothing shows - just the drawings I place in the layout itself.
They were showing a while ago though - just not any more.

All layers are turned on.
I've checked the preferences for layouts and it doesn't matter if I have the master set to show above or below the layout.
I have even created a new master and this won't show either.
I have even swapped the master in my layout but none of them will show.

The wierd thing is when I publish as a PDF everything looks fine and the master info prints out.
It just doesn't show up in the layout.

Maybe it's just because its late on a Friday afternoon but I can't find any solution.
Does anyone else have any ideas?
Barry.

Barry:

Look under On-Screen Display Options, there is an option for Master Items on Layout.

Figure it out? If nothing above worked, try selecting all and "bring to front". I have this happen with lbks brought over and converted sometimes.

Thanks David - that was it.

It's a new user we have that was having this problem and must have turned it off.
It's something I have never needed to use before so I forgot it was an option.
Also I didn't realize that this setting transfers with the file as I tried it on a couple of different machines including mine where it has always been set to on.

Thanks again,
Barry.
