Rotating an entire plan

Is there a way to rotate an entire plan temporarily? Half of the buildings I am working on have a wing that is at an angle to the main wing, and I get tired of turning my head to look at the screen. In AutoCad you can redefine the axis to another angle to turn the plan to some angle to work on it, then return it to the angle you started with.

I know how to change the grid orientation, but I want to turn the whole plan (preferably without having to select everything on all layers and doing a rotate command. Too dangerous for me, and easy to screw something up).

I've looked for some way to do this, but can't find it in the manuals.

Thanks in advance for the help.

There is now way to change it at the moment, I have a , little work around.

Create a new ArchiCAD file, hotlink in your original project.

In the new file you can rotate the building so it is rotated at the right angle.

By creating at hotlink you can have the changes reflected as you work, simply by updating it. This method works well for saving out DWG's as well.

I know ín your case you will need to have two instances of ArchiCAD running, but as I said it's a work around

HTH.
Cheers.

Sorry, no way!

It's an old wish but...

Being also an AutoCAD user I miss the PLAN command very much.

And for the neck - I again reccomend Fastum Gel. 😉

Didn't find the answer?
