autocad xrefs

this may have been answered before. i am bringing in an autocad floor plan as an xref - reference. i want to change the entire xref to one color - faint red and in autocad i would simply select all the layers associated with that xref and change the color. is there a simple way to select the xref in ArhciCad and change the xref to one single color? i can see all the layers of my xref (layer manager) and select them all. i can select the whole xref and try to change the pen color but it doesn't change.

any thoughts?

may have solved my own question. i found placing xref on worksheet and trace/reference it to the desired floor plan or story - can set all the colors to whatever in trace/reference tool. works pretty slick and then just detach and erase the worksheet.

now to tackle title blocks from previous dwg files - found you can't attach an xref to a mater in the sheet setup. you can only place a dwg - problem - can't bind a placed dwg, only an attached one. i will try to open the dwg and save as pln and work from there.
