moving hotlinked modules

When I place a hotlinked module into a file it seems to be locked as soon as it is created. The module's master layer isn't locked. How do I move/ drag a module file? ie multiple modules hotlinked into pln file that need to be adjusted around a large site.

Check that all of its layers are unlocked. Turn on Groups. Select something in the module (all of it will get selected). Drag.
