Archicad Studio / Archicad Collaborate and BIMcloud SaaS - cooperation opportunities

Hello everyone,

If I have an Archicad Studio subscription, will I be able to seamlessly join a team using an Archicad Collaborate subscription when I purchase a BIMcloud SaaS subscription for the duration of project collaboration? Is buying an Archicad Collaborate subscription the only option in this scenario?

I don't know, I'm actually curious as well.

Technically, you're definitely paying more if the duration of the collaboration is more than 1 year, but if it's only a few months, then you're probably saving a few bucks.

I know that the portable cloud licence is a thing so it should be possible, unless there's some kind of lock around it.

It depends on your goal: if you want to work with somebody else on their BIMcloud SaaS tenant, then the only option is Archicad Collaborate. If you wish to work with your team in SaaS, then you can buy BIMcloud SaaS to your existing Archicad Studio license.

With the current offers, portable cloud licenses available only via Archicad Collaborate.
