BIM Server Projects not shared yet!

All of the Projects on or BIM server now give us the message Project not shared when we try to open them. One of our employees was working on one file and when he tried to send and receive he got this error, and now when we try to open any project on the BIM server it gives the same Project not shared yet error message.

If all the projects give the "project not shared yet" error message, that probably means that the BIM server can not connect to the "projects" folder, where its database is stored. One possible reason for it could be that the "Projects" folder is not on a local drive, but on a remote (network) drive. We strongly recommend against such a setup.

Try stopping the BIM server, rebooting the machine and starting the server again to see if that fixes it. You can also reach us through e-mail and phone:

The BIM Server and Projects folder are on the same server but different drives on that server. We have had this setup for the last 11 months and this is the first time we are having an issue like this. If I restore an old copy of the project file it will open but once we send and receive changes it no longer will open. Is there any way to save our data?

You may have inadvertently gotten "working on a remote copy" issue sounds like.
Usually when you can not send/receive that means that the local copy is no longer linked to the server copy.

Someone please correct this if I have mis-spoken.

All projects, including ones not previously joined, give the same project not shared yet error. What can we do to save our files and open them.
