File Compatibility

Files created and saved in Beta and Beta Update versions will NOT open in the final released version (Archicad 30.0.0).

Use the Release Candidate (Archicad 30 RC) to convert Beta files to the final released format. This Release Candidate will be available until October 31, so you have time to convert your files.

At any point in the Beta, you can save back to Archicad 29, data related to new functions and features of version 30 will be lost (expected normal behavior).

Beta Usage Suggestions

As Beta builds are non-final versions, please consider the following points when using them in live projects ('use at your own risk'):

  • Every Beta release is tested thoroughly by Graphisoft regarding 'feature completeness' and general use-cases
  • Internal testing may not have revealed all bugs or instabilities - those may surface in your real-life workflows, so please report them
  • Make sure critical data in your projects is adequately backed up in already shipped release versions (eg. Archicad 29/MEP Designer 29) to avoid any critical data loss due to using Beta software
  • Schedule time to convert your live projects edited in Beta via the Release Candidate version before the license expires, in case you wish to continue working on them in the upcoming released version

Beta Confidentiality

Accepting the Beta agreement comes with confidentiality obligations:

  • Beta software, documentation, and communications may contain non-public information about future products and capabilities; do not share such content with non-beta participants.
  • Beta content (e.g., screenshots, videos, feature descriptions, documentation) should not be shared outside your organization unless Graphisoft explicitly authorizes it.
  • Only upon public release do these terms end.

Reporting Bugs

You can easily submit bug reports for new features or changes in our products via our Atlassian Jira Service Desk portal. To submit bugs, you'll need an Atlassian account registered for your GSID email address. If you have already registered it during previous Beta programs, then you just need to sign in. If this is your first Beta, you have received an email at your registered GSID email address containing the Atlassian sign-up link. Please use that to create your Atlassian account.

Please focus bug reporting on new and regression issues, rather than legacy issues. For suggestions, please post them to the Beta forum to allow for a more open discussion. The Product Management team will continue to monitor and review these discussions.

Before submitting a report, please refer to the Submit a Bug link on the main Beta forum page for helpful information and guidelines.

Using Teamwork with Beta version

Teamworking during the Beta Program requires a BIMcloud version compatible with Archicad and MEP Designer Beta.

BIMcloud SaaS

  • All BIMcloud SaaS tenants have already been updated to be Beta compatible.
  • No action is needed from your side; you can use Teamwork with Archicad and MEP Designer Beta as soon as you join the program.

BIMcloud On‑premises

  • BIMcloud 2027 Beta for on-premises installation is available from the Downloads page.
  • You can either:
    • Update an existing BIMcloud to BIMcloud 2027 Beta – quick and convenient, but not recommended for mission-critical production use, or
    • Install BIMcloud 2027 Beta as a separate instance – safest for production, as your existing BIMcloud remains untouched.

Installation instructions are available in the BIMcloud 2027 Beta Help.

BIMcloud Licensing

  • The Beta Program does not include new BIMcloud licenses or BIMcloud SaaS tenants.
  • Please use your existing BIMcloud licenses, either on SaaS or on-premises.
  • BIMcloud 2027 Beta can also run without a license with BIMcloud Basic functionality.

Starting Archicad and MEP Designer

Launch Archicad and MEP Designer 30 Beta and Release Candidate by signing in with your GSID registered for the Beta program. Ensure you use the GSID provided during registration, the same one used to access the Beta Community.

License Details

Once you joined the Beta, a named Archicad and MEP Designer license was assigned to you. The cloud license that was assigned to you opens all 3 localisations of Archicad and MEP Designer 30 Beta and Release Candidate. It is not usable for the final public version. The license is not transferable to anyone else.

This Beta cloud license won't conflict with any other Archicad or MEP Designer licenses.

To learn more about Cloud License, such as using offline or switching computers, go here:

Data Collection during Beta

As part of the Beta program, Graphisoft may collect:

  • Diagnostic data and logs from the usage of the Beta products
  • Feedback you provide from Beta usage

This information is used to:

  • Improve the software
  • Manage the Beta Program
  • Ensure security and operating of gamification/reward mechanisms

Any personal data is handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws and Graphisoft's privacy policies.
Graphisoft will seek consent before using personal data for marketing or public recognition (e.g., naming top contributors).
