Seems impossible to me and I'm about to give up and go with AC->3DS->V-Ray.
Pity as I had high hopes for a new workflow.

I have never tried it, since I am a VRay user.

I also found the roadblock between C4D and Maxwell. ArchiCAD --> Maxwell is swift for quick visuals, but assembling scenes in Maxwell Studio is a pain.
Working up a scene in Cinema is great, I would recommend Final Render with Cinema -- AC -> C4D w/Final Render would be all that you need.
