Hello, I'm using ArchiCAD SE 2009 on a mac and want to do 3D View studies showing sun coming through skylights into the interior of a building. When I place the 3D camera outside and above my building and I set the date and time under the Sun Settings, I can look down onto the building roof and clearly see that the sun is shining down and casting some sharply-defined shadows onto that roof and its skylights. However, whenever I look through a 3D camera placed within the building under that same roof & skylights all the interior lighting appears to be ambient, there are no shadows or sun patches coming through the skylights. I haven't placed any other light sources in the model. I've tried removing the skylights, leaving just empty roof openings and also tried changing the sun settings with no luck. Are there some settings I'm not understanding or am I asking too much from ArchiCAD SE 2009's 3D viewing?
any help would be appreciated
thanks
