Blank, black screen after rendering in Lightworks

Has anyone out there experienced a blank black screen after they are done rendering something in Lightworks? There is no model there at all, just a black screen. I have even tried rendering it at 150 dpi, and 300 screen size.

Make sure you check those basics first:

- check if the camera is focused on the model
- make sure you don't select any particular object before you switch to 3d window (especially lights)
- make sure you have your lights/sun active
- always rebuild model before hitting render button

or you might need to check this topic also:

I tried all those tips. I think we have isolated it to a lamp object. It might be a general light source object or even a sun object. When I turn the layer off for those objects, I am able to render again. I sent the file over to tech support, hopefully they can tell me if I am right.

I've been having the same problems when I use Lightworks to render a building. What I dont understand is I had been working on the same building for 3 hours and the lightworks rendering was coming out just fine. I made some changes, like how tall some bushes were and then when I went from the 3d view to lightworks rendering the screen went black. I have tried to marquee just the area I need to show in the Lightworks rendering but the black screen keeps coming back up.

Could this be happening if my computer space is really low? Ive felt like ArchiCad has been taken much longer to open, render and produce Light works rendering than it should or has in the past.
Thanks for any help.

Does your marquee area include light sources?

..hmm, I post some tips before but funny thing is that I experienced exactly the same black screen yesterday during some 'easy project' and I think it's some issue with objects' calculation. I was working on simple stand for sun glasses made with bamboo sticks and I used a lot of ArchiForma in it. Eventhough it was only 2x3m model I end up with black screen trying to render it via lightworks. After some optimization rendering took awfully long and finish with some bizzare, crappy quality. Will do some improovements today and see if it helps.

Even though we haven't figured this one out yet, at least I know it isn't an isolated problem. I had this problem once before this last time, and it happened because of a particular object that I put in my drawing. Bad thing is, I can't remember what object that was. Once I removed the object, my renderings worked just fine.

After some step-by-step elemination tests I am sure that it was 'fallow the path' object that causes the problem in my case. Still I wonder why it is working fine in OpenGL - if it would be about bad geometry this should crash too, shouldn't it?
It looks like lightworks cannot handle some corrupted/invalid poligon objects in its calculation, black screen is just background without model.
Another thing is that when I save my modeling as a *.gsm and reset the scene I'm able to render again but lightworks makes it completly 'flat' without basic features like reflection -
If somebody can put some light on it I'll be grateful.
