Crazy Render time.

Hi guys.
Could you take a look at my recent render..

Now that took just a bit over ten hours to render out. An hour render per second of footage?
Is that normal? The quality isn't that amazing.. And there is little furniture in the scene.

What am I doing to make the render so long?

The ripple-effect for the water surface was probably the major contributing factor towards the long rendering time.
