Crop view of Modules

In AutoCad one can crop the view of an x-reference with the xclip command. I cannot seem to find if you can crop an archicad module. I want to see only a portion of the plan and not the whole plan in the module I have placed in another file. Can I do this? How?

Thanks for any help.

sorry but I dont believe you can directly.
I suspect you could re export from Plotmaker using the "save cropped info only" setting. I havent tried that.

Personally I like to use a separate file to original for the xref as I can put a "zz" at the beginning of the file name so it lists at the end of my layer list.

Not directly possible, but can you give a little more context so that one of us can suggest a workaround?

I assume you are hotlinking a module that contains 3D model information? Will your cropping cut through model elements (e.g., walls), or simply isolate disconnected elements? Or, are you only concerned with 2D?
