Creating stunning building elevations can be the key to selling your project to clients. Archicad offers powerful tools and features to enhance your elevations, making them more professional and visually appealing. Here are some tips to take your presentations to the next level!

Adding Trees with the Archicad 28 Library Update

  • Archicad 28’s Library Update introduces a variety of new 2D tree graphics that are perfect for enhancing your elevations.
  • These trees are customizable, allowing you to find the ideal match for your design.
  • Simply download the library update and integrate the new elements into your project.

Applying Surface Textures

Surface textures can bring life-like detail to your building’s elevation. To apply textures:

  • Navigate to Elevation Settings.

  • Select Model Appearance.

  • Under Uncut Elements, choose Uncut Fill and then select Surface - Texture Fill, Shaded.

This method overlays realistic textures directly onto elevations, giving depth and artistic flair to your design.

Fading Out Backgrounds for Focus

Highlighting your building’s volumes is simple with Archicad’s background fading feature:

  • Open Elevation Settings.

  • Go to Model Appearance and check the box for “Fade distant elements.”

  • Adjust additional appearance settings as needed.

This technique draws attention to foreground elements while subtly fading distant parts, ensuring your design stands out.

Enhancing Graphics with Extra Fills

For added visual impact, consider using extra fills in your elevations. These fills can emphasize specific areas or add stylistic touches that make your presentation more compelling.
