Gobos or Patterns in Lights

Is there a way to project a pattern in a light? Or perhaps a 3rd party projector library object?

In the entertainment industry we call these patterns "Gobos" or "Cookies"

Form Z has this function but I can't figure out how to export/import it into ArchiCAD.

You could add real Geometry before the light, to block it.

I don't think you can do this on the lamp level in ArchiCAD.
