I would REALLY like to be able to use the Google Earth add-on for a project I am presently working on, but it is crashing ArchiCAD every which way I try it. I have tried installing, reinstalling etc. I have updated to build 1010, still no joy.
When I try to open or merge the Google Earth file (.kml or .kmz) ArchiCAD crashes either immediately or after a little hourglass time.
Has anyone had success with this on a MacBook Pro? (Running XP-SP2 of course.)
I am annoyed that there is so little information on the GS website (and what is there is hard to find), and it seems that the latest version of this is a beta dated 29 May 2006. What gives? Why hasn't this advanced past beta? What about an OSX version? Has this been put on the back burner while AC11 is under development? ARGHH!
I hope I am missing something or making some stupid mistake and this will actually work. I am working on a master plan for which this would be VERY useful and I am beginning to wonder if I should have just done it all in SketchUp. I (foolishly?) assumed that I would be able to use the add-on and am now feeling VERY frustrated.
