MISSING LIB PARTS

Using AC10. When we open archieve file made on one comp on another comp it gives a msg about missing Library parts. Surface textures of all kinds are shown missing.

Isnt that abnormal? Archive file takes along its library is it not?

These msgs in the beginning of drawings irritate and cant trust the drawings to work.

The archive format does include the library parts, but with the exception of macros that are called by the value of a variable rather than an explicit name. This is an unfortunate limitation of the function.

One workaround is to get the names from the library loading report (assuming there aren't too many), locate the macros needed, and copy them into the archive library. I don't know your situation and whether this is appropriate so I won't go into the details right now.

Rathin:

When creating the archive file, in the Save Plan dialog box when selecting the Archive Project file type, click on the Options button, one of the options is "Include Linked Textures" in the archive.
