Neon Lighting!!!!!!

Hello,

I've recently discovered artlantis neon shader but found that it is fairly poor. I've received great help on this forum and artlantis forum, I've also contacted Abvent, however it's still not up to a good standard.

Abvent told me that "In general the neon shader does not work, it's in development." "It only works on small pieces"

This explains why when I try and render a 5 0metre strip of road it comes out very poor quality.

My whole project will be using neon's so it's a great deal to me that it 'works'. It will be one of the key elements of my design proposal and (night) renders etc.

Therefor, because artlantis apparently doesn't work correctly and I haven't used neon before, does anybody know which rendering program is excellent at neon rendering?

Here's a precedent image of what the neon will look like (though less intertwined), there will be at least 3 different colours...

Any ideas?

This may be obsolete since it was originally formulated for AC9, but perhaps it is still possible in ArchiCAD's more recent versions... using lightworks:

Yeah I saw that when searching the forum... I not sure if it's possible but I was looking for a different program to render in because I'm not that impressed with Lightworks, probably because I don't use it and because other programs (normally) produce better images in a more visual way.

Dwight already informed me of his publication with neon shader. I took it upon myself however to contact Abvent to see what the issue was and they already told me it doesn't work properly. As have several members on the artlantis forum..

I'm now looking at C4D for this project. Apparently it's a long time waiting for abvent to stop the development and actually 'fix' the shader because it's been a long time!
