Problems Applying A Stone Texture

I need help applying this stone texture to a basic archicad column. Any assistance rendered will be greatly appreciated.

Make the picture into a material surface.

There will be problems: the uneven image will pulse.

You can disguise this pulsing by making a new file combining the colors in the stone photo as an even texture pattern in photoshop and apply the original picture over it as a bump map.
