Stopping a complex rendering

Have been working on the same view for the past 12 hours.

It would be nice if we could stop a rendering. Make minute changes and start another rendering.

The view I am working on has lights, it is taking so long to see what is happening, just saw another little problem but the render won't stop.

Pushing on the red button doesn't do anything. The only way to stop this is to "force quit" Archicad.

Others might have a better solution.

Once you press the stop button it can take some time before it actually stops, if this is taking too long then I think Force Quit is the only way out.

This is a problem I have been asking for a solution to for years. Sometimes I find hitting Open (Command, O) halts the render process faster. then you can hit "Cancel" and move forward. Sometimes I just go and get a cup of coffee.

In the old days, ctrl-period / cmd-period would stop it...
