Sun Study time stamp doesn't match configured date of study

Robert Nichols

I have a sun study set up, ask for study of 12/21/2021. I get a video result that seems to be correct, but the time stamp indicates 3/21/2021. Troubleshooting, I configure the study for different dates and never get the correct month (day and year are correct). I can't determine a pattern to the error nor am I sure at the moment if the time stamp is incorrect relative to these path shown, or if the stamp correctly identifies the sun path, but the sun path doesn't match sun study config.

Anyone seen this before?

I was able to generate the same error. It may something to do with making a Save of the Archicad file between making each new sun study - I am not entirely sure.  And it can happen both ways-- using the current date setting can generate the last timestamp date, and the other way around, setting a future date can still generate the current date in the time stamp.  I will post some videos when I have more time.   2021-10-28_13-15-12.png

this is a very crude video but it does show the problem can happen

Dear Robert,

Thank you very much for sharing this issue and I am very sorry about it!

From your description, it seems like this is defect DEF-6453. Based on the info of the defect, requesting the same video for the second time with the same parameters seems to solve the issue. Could you please give it a try and let us know if it works?

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Best regards,
Minh

Hi,

I have sma issue. Your solution worked in AC25EN, on second attampt to save sun study was the date correct.  BUt this workaround dont work in AC25CZ.

I shows still the same date: 20.8.2018. I wonder what happened that date 😊

Yes, Minh, your work-around produced the correct result. To clarify my original post, it's not the timestamp that is incorrect, it's the requested date is not produced. Archicad makes sun-study based on previously requested parameters, which are correctly reflected in the time stamp. But - sun study is not according to date parameters entered.

Hi Minh,

The issue still happens with Archicad 25 4017 NED full. Causing us a lot of problems. In teamwork its not even possible to change the date, only by saving the file locally and making the sun study through that file. Would appreciate a fix, thanks.

Hi,

It seems that DEF 6543 still occurs in the latest update of Archicad 25. Hope to see some bug fixing here. Not being able to change the date in a teamwork project, looks like a 'reserve (all)' issue. Also not user friendly.

With kind regards

Same problem for me as well in Archicad 25 Build 5010, Windows.

This is also a problem in Archicad 25 5010 NOR, Windows.
