Two point perspective

I'm new to AC 8.1. I use 2 point perspective in Microstation quite often to avoid the effect of vertical walls looking like they are falling over at the edges. I can't see how to set this up in Archicad. Am I trying to do something that isn't available?

There is no such thing as two-point perspective. That crappy Microstation just lets you revert to fifties thinking.

To prevent verticals from converging in ArchiCAD, but as a three point perspective, just like reality:

1: Set your camera up with a horizontal target - camera height = target height.

2: Make the camera angle wide enough to include the building - it will seem quite extreme and there's going to be too much foreground.

3: To save time in the rendering, use the "Partial Imaging" dialog to specify the part of the view to render.

FULLY agree ... we should also do awat with elevations.

Click on the button shown by the red arrow. It will equalize the level of the camera and the target. If you want to move them vertically, use the button showed by the yellow arrow.
