Greetings Everybody,
Visualization and the visual language as a whole is a crucial phenomena when we communicate our ideas to the clients. Should that be vectorial, artistic, non-realistic, photo-realistic, 2D or 3D from classic quick shaded representations to high-end VR or XR, most of us would agree that the way we communicate our ideas is truly essential.
I would like to start a dedicated conversation and hear your feedback on this topic. Please let me know:
Let me know if you have anything else in connection to this topic. Let's start the conversation.

Glad I am not the only one. Keeping it in MVO would probably make more sense so as not disperse these things too much across the UI (hello stories, altitude and reference levels, Im taling to you)
Seems like this would be somethign easy to implement.

There should also be the option to keep the sun at a fixed angle from the camera as I move the camera, 45 deg for example. Its time consuming having to reposition the sun angle each time I reposition the camera.

Given the questions I assume that you are primarily asking about experience focused visualisation. As a small office we do this inhouse in order to keep it close to the design process and cost effective. We currently use a workflow with Enscape for realtime rendering and low quality stills and V-Ray for high quality stills. Regarding this kind of visualisation I would hope that GS is putting resources into enhancing integration rather than developing native capabilities (including AI gimmicks). Seeing Chaos effort to streamline the Enscape to V-Ray workflow it would be of interest to use V-Ray inside AC. And I would also appreciate an answer to questions raised by this post.
But there is another type of visualisations with focus on concepts and information and being able to create and publish these directly in AC keeping the connection to the model rather than using third party solutions such as Adobe/QGIS/IFC viewers/ etc. would be a unique selling point for AC. Some point to adress for a smooth workflow for visualisation of concepts/information in AC:
3D views
Cut and filter elements in 3D
Graphical overrides
Colors, Lines, Fills (look at QGIS)

Agreed: Elevations & sections can now be created with a strong visual appeal - but, the PDFs are so large that clients struggle to open them if they are not using a high end machine (often the case - especially the decision makers who often view on laptops or tablets). We have ended up having to publish to both PDF and JPEG...

Excellent suggestion for dealing with sections and elevations

Hello everyone,
I've been following this enriching discussion on visualization, and I'd like to share my team's approach.
Type of Visualization: We specialize in Real-time Visualization and Quick Shaded renderings, finding these methods effective for both internal reviews and client presentations.
Current Workflow: Our process is primarily in-house, bolstered by integrating high-quality models from vendors like Evermotion or 3DModels.org. This allows us to enrich our visualizations with detailed and realistic components.
Challenges: Integrating complex models from these vendors into our architectural designs poses a challenge, particularly in balancing detail with manageable file sizes.
Third-party Solutions: We use Lumion for dynamic environments and Adobe Suite for post-production. The incorporation of external models adds depth and realism to our visualizations.
I'd love to hear how others incorporate third-party models into their workflows, particularly when dealing with large-scale architectural projects.

If Abvent is now owned by Graphisoft, Twinmotion should also be part of it since the latter was an Abvent's software.

It was bought by Epic some years ago:

It should have been bought by Graphisoft and/or Nemetschek as well if they really had a vision to improve the visualization experience. That would have avoided this thread.
"What third party solutions would you like to incorporate in your workflow?" Since ArchiCAD and Cinema 4D belong to Nemetschek, I would like to see the visualization experience improved in ArchiCAD with a single click.

It may be a case of being wary of what one wishes for...
Epic have the expertise, ongoing incentive, and product portfolio to keep Twinmotion at the leading edge of development - the improvements under Epic ownership have, in my opinion, been noteworthy (path tracer, Lumen, & much more).
As a cautionary note, I would not wish upon Twinmotion the fate of LumenRT, purchased by Bentley to the detriment of existing users and seemingly left to languish in a dark corner. Originally developed by e-on software to bring realtime rendering to their high-end World building & vegetation asset modelling & rendering software (Vue, Plant Factory, Plant Catalogue - https://info.e-onsoftware.com/ ), LumenRt was the equivalent of Twinmotion at the time. Unfortunately, our investment of time, money, and energy in e-on's products was for nought when Bentley took ownership: Support for MacOS was dropped & the direct link with Vue Infinite no longer relevant for us (Mac based office)....oh, and not to mention the not-insignificant price, & Bentley's subscription model.
This post has me re-visiting the Bentley LumenRT website - no discernable evolution from the day Bentley took charge back around 2016 IIRC...https://virtuosity.bentley.com/product/bentley-lumenrt/
