Which 3D navigation device (gamepad/joystick) to use?

Do you have any suggestions on a suitable joystick or gamepad for navigating in the 3D environment?

Preferably I should be able to plug it into the USB port. And hopefully this device I'm looking for comes only in package with...X-Box or Playstation...
