Two questions.

I built a camera path but i copied some of the camaras as i went.
now the sequence doesn't start where i intended.
How do I (can I) change the camera numbers?

And; is 24 cameras with in-between frames way too many for a reasonable rendering time and file size?

thanks!

You cannot change the numbers (sequence). The easiest solution could be to create a screen shot of the current path, place it on the plan (use the Figure Tool), then use this as a guide to create a new path in the correct order. If you want to play with reordering the current path, a new camera will be placed after the last selected camera.

Thank you David.

It was a little hit or mis but I resolved it by cutting and pasting the cameras in reverse order from the existing path to a new one. The path went a little funky but by erasing an apparent rogue camera or 2 reestablished the order i was looking for.

The difficulty with looking at the path is that all cameras show up from all stories and i'm in small spaces across several stories so i had to be sure i was selecting the right camera based on elevation. Blinding.

I assume this is easier in newer versions of AC or in add-ons.

Unfortunately i can't get my sun settings to stick for a fly through rendering anyway per my next topic.... and i don't understand why there is no way to save 'favorites' settings for rendering.

thank you so much!

The Camera Tool has not changed in AC17. One trick with the Camera Tool is to use the Pen assignment for Cameras to differentiate Stories in the same Path; so the Cameras on Story 1 are assigned one color, Story 2 another color, etc.

Actually, there is: create a View for the first Camera, open the 3D Window of this View, change the values for the 3D Window and PhotoRendering Settings as desired, select the View in the Navigator, click the Settings... button in the Navigator, go to the 3D Only panel, click the Redefine Image Settings with Current check box.

I sure appreciate it David.

I'll try all of the above.
