saving a file in Archicad to use in Artlantis

Do you need a plug-in to save files in Archicad to open in Artlantis? I have downloaded Artlantis today and was told i needed to save my file as a Artlantis 13 file. I do not have this as an option? Can anyone explain what I need to do?

Thank you in advance for any help given.

You can only save as an Artlantis ATL file from the 3D window. Scroll down in the format list there and you will find Artlantis 3. (There is no 13.)

@Karl when you save out from ArchiCAD for Artlantis does the file need to have LIGHTs and CAMERAs already in them or can you add them in Artlantis?

I prefer to just add them in Artlantis, but all lights can be exported - which will then put them at the desired coordinates for fine-tuning in Artlantis if you need interior lights at particular locations. Only one camera (the current one) is exported to Artlantis, but you can set up as many as you want once in Artlantis - and retain these (as well as materials, lights, etc) with future model updates by using the 'reference file' feature of Artlantis.

Cheers,
Karl
