BIMcloud SaaS External Backup

BIMcloud SaaS in located on Google servers in Europe, and they are therefore controlled by an American company under American law. For cyber security reasons it would be great to be able to be able to do a backup from BIMcloud SaaS to an external location outside the cloud. Your company file server or a physical drive. Preferable it could be automated, but just a manual button for downloading a complete backup of the entire BIMcloud SaaS content would be sufficient.

This would make sure, that if access to BIMcloud data is lost – for whatever reason – users will still be able to recover project data and continue their work.

It's unfortunate that this has to be on the table, but it pays to be prepared. My only question would be which format do you think would be best? Should the files download as native files .e.g .pln .mod .ifc etc. Any changes not sent through would be lost (hardly the biggest concern in this scenario). Work could continue on the .pln files while a local BIMcloud could be setup and files reshared.

Or should they be downloaded as part of a BIMcloud e.g. .BIMProject28 files along with the BIMcloud Manager data so that a local BIMcloud could restore the whole setup. Hopefully this would be a relatively seamless transition. The downside being the files aren't immediately useful like a .pln would be.

Or should both options be available?

Both options would be amazing, letting the user decide. But should I choose one, I would go for the BIMcloud project file, where everything is saved in the original format.
