I recently discovered that it’s already possible to manually duplicate a Layout by holding Alt CTRL and dragging it within the Layout Book. This is useful, but not very discoverable or intuitive.
It would be a great usability improvement to have:
- A “Duplicate” option directly in the right‑click context menu for Layouts (and optionally Master Layouts).
- Or a dedicated “Duplicate” button in the Layout Book toolbar, similar to the “Clone” button for Views.
This would make the function more obvious and easier to use, especially for new users, without changing its current behavior.
Why this is useful:
- Makes an existing but hidden feature clearly accessible.
- Reduces the learning curve for new users.
- Keeps consistency with the way Views can be cloned via button or menu options.
