Copy / Paste to active Design Option

When I'm copying elements between files/design options, I want the ability to select "copy to active Design Option." 

When I'm copying from project A to project B and those elements are on a Design Option that doesn't exist in project B, project B creates the missing Design Option—and keeps it hidden.

I want the option to create the design option AND show it, create the design option AND keep it hidden, OR paste elements to the active Design Option.

I would have assumed it would default to main model ( if the DO doesn't exist ) - with the option to paste to [select DO or new DO]

Agreed. This basic workflow has not been appropriately considered or implemented in the current version of Archicad. Cut and Paste in Archicad is in general kind of broken. Not intending to hijack the wish, but this is also an issue when simply wanting to work smoothly in 3D. There is no possibility to copy, nor paste. etc. So I wonder if this copy and paste issue is somehow related. Either way, we need the fix for Design Options now.
