PUBLISHER - Open folder set in the Publisher Set

LucaP

I would like to have the ability to open a folder to which a current Publisher Set is going to publish my files.

We currently have an option to Show files in the explorer AFTER publishing, so the possibility exists. I would like to be able to check the dedicated folder BEFORE publishing. It could work based on a right-click in the context of a Publisher Set or on a Publisher Set itself in the Navigator.

Perhaps it is not a most urgent wish, however it would help speed up the publishing process.

"Open folder in Explorer" right click item would be great, be it post-publishing, pre-publishing or mid-publishing.

Well - not the exact wording...

@Stefan L_ I'm ashamed that it didn't occur to me. I hadn't realized that it's possible until you wrote so. Thanks!

Just to summarize: you need to right-click the path displayed in the "Publisher file" column of the Publishing... Palette, and activate the "Show in File Explorer" command. (Maybe the command is different on Mac, like "Show in Finder".) This feature has been in Archicad for a few versions now. I checked as far back as Archicad 26, and it was already available in that version (maybe even earlier versions as well.)

Yes, we have an option to find a specific file AFTER publishing - however I was hoping to have a similar option to open a Publisher Set's dedicated folder BEFORE hitting Publish button.

Strangely my Wish has been moved to a general discussion topic - could someone explain to me why?

The need for such an improvement still remains (even though it might not be the most urgent one).

So no response from anyone?

How come this topic has been removed from Wishes without any notice? As I mentioned before - the Wish does not relate to existing functionality (Open in Explorer AFTER Publishing) but to a new additional functionality (Open in Explorer Dedicated folder of the Publishing path).

Any chance it could be restored or should I make another Wish?

I moved the topic to the general forum because I was under the impression that the wished functionality is implemented. My bad.

The topic is now back in the Wishlist, its Votes as well.
