Partial Structure Display - in Dimension Settings

its long past due, if dimensions are going to be pinned to a partial structure display, there needs to be a control, either in partial structure display, or preferably in dimension settings, to control which partial structure display the placed dimensions are pinned to.
virtually every one I train on AC runs into this... too many hours spent redoing dimensions to count.

A great idea. Any such thing that is tied to a certain type of view should be editable. This is basically the same as with renovation status or a design option. You can ALWAYS change an object's renovation status or design option, while with dimensions it's not like that.

Ugh. Yes please! So many times I want to change dimensions from one view to another, but can't because of this structural display issue. It's such low hanging fruit. We can change dimensions to different design options, different layers, different reno statuses. We should also be able to change what structural display it's tied to.

Voted, But honestly. I don't know why dimensions are hidden by PSD at all. Surely there is already going to be an appropriate layer available. For example, I have a Framing Plan that uses Core Only. But I also have a framing plan layer and layer combo because there are other annotation elements beside dimensions that I are specific to this plan.

Having dimensions disappear when you change PSD never made sense to me.

Exactly, Geoff! One extra way to hide dimensions has never been a feature I needed... even before renovation filters, we had layers that did just fine...
I've only been using Archicad since v8.1... was there a time when archicad didn't have layers?
