Placed DXF/DWG Layer settings/search function

It would be great if for placed DWG/DXF or any other data format which allows the usage of layers in the Drawing's own Layers menu it would be possible to:

  1. search for a layer name <- at the moment there is just a scrollable list
  2. allow to pick and inject the layer settings between dwg instances -> Are there no matching layer names between the two instances then simply do not do anything <- At the moment the pick and inject does not affect the selection of the drawings own layers
  3. or select multiple different placed dxf/dwg entities (which might contain more or less the same layers - some a couple extra, some a couple less) and potentially display a combined (total)layer list to be able to turn on/off the layers one needs to have shown - Currently when doing a selection of layers across multiple instances, even though the same layer names exist in both instances different layers get turned on and off - i assume due to a sort of layer index logic or similar.

One case example below:

When you want (read as need) to import Geodata in DXF from publicly available sources, it usually comes broken down in patches (rectangular areas). If you are unlucky enough and your plot just happens to be on the intersection of a couple of such patches you quickly run into the above mentioned problem. If you want to isolate specific features - such as streets or plots - you will have to manually go through the different placed dwg's and carefully select the same layers per entity...

A search function would be great, though given how so many consultants name their layers figuring out the name is a chore in itself... I usually dupicate their files and freeze all of the layers that I do not need as the only layers visible in AC are those that are unfrozen and on when saved. Can be annoying as people changing the visibility status of layers in the dwg modifies that layers availability in AC, but it is convenient as it also culls the layer list down.

Totally agree @Lingwisyer. however when you use public Geodata, the layers at least per region tend to be the same or follow a similar/identical logic.
