It would be helpful in the Zone category menu if you were able to select any fill, with any foreground and background colour. For example you cannot see furniture below a default Zone without using overrides or adjusting the zone fill manually.
You can create a Graphic Override rule that makes the zones transparent.
I think the rule is there already in the default Graphisoft template (I am not 100% sure on that).
Or just turn the zone layer off.
