Hi,I tried some of the recommendations above and the issue seemed to be bad sectors, after running disk utility, i was finally able to install archicad 28.Much appreciated to everyone that assisted.

Tried with no luck, will try reinstalling the OS again.Have now installed on windows so i can do some work

Haven't tried all of the them, will try this evening and revert back 

Could the issue be with Macbook? I tried installing Archicad 23 and i get the same damaged error message
