How to change trace & reference on/off?

I want to change trace information like 'Below Current Story', 'Above Current Story' and others.

I think I can do trace on/off using spy++ in visual studio.

But I can't change information.

I'm not certain (never tried it before), but I think it might be possible using APIEnv_CreateGhostRecordID (with ACAPI_Environment). Take a look at the Environment_control example project.
