BIMx In AC17?

Anonymous
Not applicable
As a previous owner of a VBE and latter a BIMx licence and on behalf of others who have invested in this product before AC17, what is Graphisoft proposing?

Do we get a free upgrade to a new and improved BIMx in the future that only previous licence purchasers have access to, or do we get a refund?

Yes we can ask our dealer as I have and its not clear yet?

I hope Graphisoft do the right thing here?

Sorry, I never saw your earlier posts - there was a page break, change of discussion, and I was picking up on the last post.

If the web site doesn't work for you either, then the problem seems to me to be on your end - either your firewall, antivirus, router, or ISP. Or, maybe you have cookies disabled, etc. But, you know how these things go... there could just be something messed up about your account. Why not create a new account purely for testing purposes and see if that works? If not, not, this isn't how you contact HQ... that is done through your reseller's technical support who should escalate an issue to HQ if they cannot resolve it.

This must be frustrating! Hope a solution presents itself soon.

Thanks Karl

I will try the alternate account option and check on my cookie settings (I know it should still be set to disabled for some other service I use).
My Windows firewall is off so should not be a problem. And on my Antivirus all my Graphisoft apps are on safe list as standard practice just to be sure.

What do you think of this? I run on a static IP for open / internet access to my BIM Server on this machine. Could that have an influence?

Thanks
Francois

The static IP would only be an issue if for some reason Graphisoft has 'blacklisted' that IP. Cannot imagine why they would have done so.

I did just browse my Cookies... and I have one or more for "gsbimx.com" .. so if you have allowed only 'graphisoft.com' to store cookies, that might be the problem.

What does this blacklisting of IP mean Karl? I know what IP of my computer refers to but why would GRAPHISOFT blacklist the IP? More important, how can I determine if that is the case?

I have been on SSA since v6.5 and do or have not ever had the need to install cracked versions. I am a Graphisoft Registered Consultant since v13 and give regular training from L1 - L5 since 2010. I have a schools license for my training stations.

I am asking these questions both to get a solution for my own ArchiCad 17 license as well as that of an SSA client that I support (or any new queries that might come in similar to this one.)

Did you allow Cookies and try creating a fresh user account yet? That is likely the problem.

Blacklisting means that an IP address if prevented from connecting to a server, usually done when an IP address is associated with a known spammer or hacker attempting a denial of service or other attack. Highly unlikely to affect your situation. Just covering all possibilities. Please focus on the real solutions - cookies, antivirus, login account, etc. You seem to be the only person on the planet having this problem... so it would seem to be an issue on your machine...
