Image Clipping on CAD Image in BIMx model

Hello, I am experiencing image clipping in a BIMx model, images below. These are CADImage objects. It appears as if planes are overlapping/intersecting and color is being distorted by white "clipping" planes. Any advice greatly appreciated. Thank you![/img]

I have noticed that the image clipping is not just CADimage, but also standard Archicad objects. It appears the surfaces are interfering when they are overlapped. See the example below, the people and wall above the small window are clipping. Thanks for any help!

MJKOARCH14:

There is probably nothing you can do about the Objects (people) unless you are able to dive into their GDL scripts (in this case the 3D Script is binary, so that is inaccessible anyway). For the wall over the window, check the model: any two planes that occupy the same space can cause this issue.

You should add a Signature to your Profile (click the Profile button near the top of this page) with your ArchiCAD version and operating system (see mine for an example) for more accurate help in this forum.

Hi,

I have investigated this issue with the file I got from MJKOARCH14.
This issue - and in general similar issues - are caused by elements in the project being far from the origin.

To resolve an issue like this go to Floor Plan view and make all elements visible:
- show all layers
- show all renovation statuses (if they are in use)
- choose the "entire element" option for the Partial Structure Display

After this is done go through all your floor plans one by one and use the "Fit in window" command for each of them. When two elements are very far from each other this command will make AC zoom out and you can see what to bring closer/delete.

It is possible that there are no elements far from each other but all of them are far from the origin. In this case select them with the thick marquee on a Floor Plan and move them into the origin. (The thick marquee moves elements on all floor plans, so it only needs to be done on one story this way.)

When everything is in the origin save the file, close AC and reopen the project. BIMx files saved from the newly opened project won't flicker anymore.
