well, with the development of the BIMx software for an ipad....this question came up:
Q. while using the U3D format embedded inside of a PDF file, 3d imagery is available to the client (whomever) for viewing interactively.
But...with the development of the ipad BIMx software....will the U3D now not be needed? I love the PDF "sense of comfort" you are able to give to a client via email but a BIMx file has so much more functionality ("love the 3d-cutaway by the way"..keep exploring that GS).
I'm wondering if GS will continue to pursue the U3D path?

BIMx as a "standard" would be awesome!....but don't hold yer breath for AC17...if GS can make a little xtra "pesos" in providing functinality to their software they will....remember, this isn't Autodesk and GS doesn't have that much money to simply 'give' away.
