why are there so many flavors?
see attached as to when to use which one.

Also...if my clients have BIMx and I have migrated to the BIMx Lab, then their files (BIMx files) are all of a sudden outdated...and they can't open them?

Again...why?

I could tell prior as it was two separate apps.

In the new BIMx app. there are the three dots (top right).
If you click on that and choose 'BIMx store' it should give you subscription options.
I have the 1 year free trial (as I have the old BIMx Pro app), a 1 month subscrition and a 1 year subscription option.
I assume I see this as I have not subscribed yet (or taken up the free offer).
I assume if you have subscribed it will simply show your current subscription and an option to change or opt out.

If you have the old Pro app, you can continue running that as well, although it will no longer be updated.

Thank you for the questions, and I am very sorry about the confusion here!

I would like to give you some information regarding the changes in how BIMx PRO is moving forward:

Free BIMx users can upgrade their app free of charge in the form of a regular product update.

BIMx PRO (both paid and in-app-purchase) users will be offered two not exclusive options:

• Stay on the current version and use it as a perpetual license

• Upgrade to the new BIMx app and receive 12 months free usage

BIMx Lab users will receive an update that disables the app and guides the user to the new BIMx app.

The main focus of the free application is to give you the tools needed for exploring the 3D model and the attached 2D documentation, but you can activate more collaboration functionality via BIMx PRO subscription, as it was mentioned by Barry. You can read more about it here.
