AC9 and importing DWGs

OK, so I have a few files to import, all of which have been converted to AutoCAD 2000 format. Yesterday, I was able to open them in plotmaker. But for some reason now they will not open. I have tried to import them into AC 9, but for some reason it just won't work. I go through File -> Merge and it hasn't worked. I've tried a few other methods (dragging the file to the icon and opening in archicad) and none of them worked)

Would someone be able to figure out whats going on? I can forward the files if that's allowed via forum rules. I just need them to be in a .pln that can be opened in AC9.

Thanks a bunch.

OK....I figured it out. I ended up trying to open the original files from the email and they worked. So all is well.
