ARCHICAD campatible With Form Z

How well is Form Z Compatible with ArchiCAD? Our Designer uses Form Z and when I import his Dwg's file they groups as one complete object. I can select the object and view it as a 3D as one complete object, but i would like to select one single item in his drawings and view it separately. if i explode the objects it becomes flat which does no good to me. I'm working with ArchiCAD 11 now.

If they can export an IFC model from form Z you can import it retaining the individual parts.

Now will this work with Sketchup as well?

Models direct from sketchup take a lot of cleaning up to be useful in archicad.
For use in archicad, you are better off recreating it with archicad tools.
