Access component skin values from expressions for building materials

Hello all, I have a problem which I might need your help with. I do schedules of building material based on the components schedule, where I schedule each building material and take skin volume and skin area for each building material. Final quantity output has to be sorted based on building materials, rather than building element, that is why I use components schedule rather then element schedule. That worked good for quantities, but now I want to add prices for each element. I can easily add new parameter for the price per unit, but I can not seam to get value of the skin area or volume in expressions in order to get the total price (multiply size with price per unit). Am I doing something wrong? This seams to be logic application of expressions for building materials.
