ArchiCAD DWG Export – Dimensions Change When Moved or Copied in AutoCAD

Hi everyone,

I'm having a problem when exporting DWG files from ArchiCAD to AutoCAD.

I exported my file from ArchiCAD by using the “Save As” function, and used a custom translator with the “01 Additional Editing” option enabled. When I open the DWG in AutoCAD, everything looks fine at first — the dimensions appear correctly with their original color and layout.

However, when I move a dimension object, or copy-paste it into another AutoCAD drawing, the dimension suddenly changes:

It moves to a different layer

The color changes (from blue/magenta to white)

Sometimes the appearance of the dimension is distorted

Why is this happening?
Is it because ArchiCAD exports dimensions as blocks or uses some kind of layer override?
Is there a proper way to export dimensions from ArchiCAD so they behave normally in AutoCAD after being moved or copied?

I'd appreciate any insights or tips from those who have dealt with this issue.

Thanks in advance!
